I'm with you on this. Disney created some serious buzz with this game, and while reviews have been mixed, they will certainly turn a profit.

If you watch some of the early Disney test footage, it was done partially by John Lasseter, who is now known as the head of Pixar and Walt Disney Feature Animation.

Im not saying censorship is right or wrong...But at least if something is getting censored its guns and not sex. This country is soo screwed up in regards to what is and isn't ok to show on screen. <br/>Maybe people should get a clue that violence on screen is much more harmful than showing skin. Just look at what happened yesterday at North Illinois. People die from shooting sprees...while i have never heard of someone dying from a sex spree!

There are Canadian Guilds, like the Writer's Guild of Canada (WGC). But they are separate from the American guilds, although they have pledged their support for the strike. This strategy by the networks is a legal way around the strike because they are technically Canadian productions.

I think that video games that want to also have a good story have a difficult time. Some get over this by having the story played out with cutscenes. Old Lucasarts adventure games like Sam and Max, Monkey Island or Grim Fandango had basically one plot (most of the time) and you just had to do certain insane things to cause the story to continue. Now games want to use the infinate possibilities of the medium to make mutiple story arcs. The game Mass Effect is an incredibly intricate story (as were the prior games by Bioware) with multiple branches. Video games have to make a good story from the choose your own adventure model and that can be difficult.

Right on! Someone we met in LA was Danny Bilson, co-producer of the Sims, and he actually teaches a class at USC on writing for video games. He stresses that a story can enhance the videogaming experience, however, he believes that the storytelling in gaming is still lagging from the brethren that is television and film. He offers up that for those that love to write and play video games, that there is a great opportunity out there for you!

Yeah I'm with you David, I think Affleck is right when he says "inside information", I had a boss this past summer who told me everything leaked onto that site is very calculated by the studios.

It should be mentioned that while AICN is a normally early source of information, they will post almost any rumor so don't trust everything on the site.
